Our Members in The Spotlight: Effixis, helping companies adopt artificial intelligence.

In a world where emerging technologies are ubiquitous, companies must familiarise themselves with them. That is what Effixis, a firm specialising in artificial intelligence consulting, is proposing. The companies that use Effixis are generally looking to find out how to use AI and integrate it into their business processes.

Effixis, is an AI consulting firm co-founded by EPFL alumni : Elliott Bertrand, Rémi Sabonnadière and Melvin Kian. Together with their 28 colleagues, they form a young team with a passion for artificial intelligence. Since April 2022, through its Belgium Director role, Guillaume Vanhalst has overseen Effixis’ activities in Benelux.

Effixis offers three main services: training, strategy and the implementation of artificial intelligence. For training, the AI Academy and Prompt University offer tailor-made programmes to help companies adopt AI at all levels of their organisation. In terms of strategy, they work with their customers to develop bespoke action plans that align AI with short- and long-term business objectives. Lastly, its team develops customised solutions for a range of sectors, from finance and industry to healthcare and the public sector.

“We train at different levels; it usually starts at the executive level so that there is a real strategic alignment at director and partner level on this technology, what they can do and what they could use it for.”

Guillaume is proud of their ability to simplify AI and make it accessible to their customers. Effixis has trained over 8,000 people to date, helping companies – for example SMEs, hospitals and NGOs – to adopt this technology and increase their productivity with existing tools. This collaboration between technology and the medical sector has led to improved healthcare, while in the field of agriculture, Effixis has helped an NGO to understand how AI could simplify trade between Europe and southern countries.

Today, more than ever, artificial intelligence is crucial to business competitiveness. Given the rapid growth of this technology, Effixis is likely to have a bright future ahead of it. Their aim now is to further develop their services in Belgium, Switzerland and internationally.
