Description
Vucable is a Brussels-based responsible AI practice helping public institutions and organisations adopt AI in an ethical, sovereign, human-centred way. We work across policy, strategy, implementation and compliance at once, combining AI governance expertise with hands-on delivery. Three principles guide us: sovereignty, interoperability and user-centricity — solutions designed to be accessible to vulnerable and low-tech users, not only to the digitally fluent.
Products & Services
Our services span four areas. LEARN: AI literacy and capacity-building trainings for civil servants, public institutions, civil society and enterprise teams, from the technical and legal dimensions of AI to the EU AI Act. ASSESS: ethical AI audits and impact assessments covering bias, fairness, transparency, accessibility and harm. ENGAGE: participatory consultations; we recruit participants and facilitate sharing sessions with users and stakeholders, with a focus on people in vulnerable situations. BUILD: accessible GovTech, including our flagship mAIté, a multilingual AI assistant that helps people navigate complex public services in their own language, through familiar channels (WhatsApp, SMS), with no installation, in plain language.
Innovative Aspects & Advantages
Our innovation is the intersection we work at: consulting and development. Most providers either advise on AI policy, ethics and compliance, or build systems. We do both, so our recommendations are shaped by what we actually deploy, and what we build is governed from day one. That hybrid also lets us design for accessibility, with a focus on people in vulnerable situations, and deliver AI that is sovereign and interoperable by design.
