About

This mission aims to support prospecting and market research for tech companies taking their first steps internationally, particularly in the French market. Participating Brussels start-ups will have the opportunity to attend VivaTech as visitors and be part of a Brussels start-up delegation.

Participating companies will receive a pass for the entire duration of the fair (June 17-20), allowing them to stay on Friday and Saturday for a personal program without hub.brussels’ support.

VivaTech is a major international trade fair dedicated to innovation, technology, and start-ups, held annually in Paris. It brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and tech industry experts to explore the latest trends, discover innovative solutions, and discuss the challenges of the digital future. The event features conferences, workshops, live demonstrations, and competitions, providing a unique platform for companies of all sizes to connect, collaborate, and grow on a global scale.

Wednesday 17 June

AM Departure on the Eurostar from Bruxelles-Midi

10:30 Arrival at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles

  • Meeting with Olivier Costa, General Representative of the Brussels-Capital Region in France. Discussion on the needs of start-ups for support in the French market;
  • Visit to the Belgian pavilion and meeting with the Belgian delegation. Participation in activities at the stand.

12:00 Lunch & networking

14:00 Vivatech Tour: collective tour of major booths and prospection

18:00 (TBC) Networking evening at the Belgian Ambassador’s residence

Thursday 18 June

Morning/Afternoon (TBC) Participation in conferences (according to the fair’s schedule) and in the start-up challenge sessions

hub.brussels offers participating companies an entry pass to VivaTech, along with the opportunity to join an international prospecting programme.

Selection criteria*

The start-ups selected for this mission must meet the following criteria:

  • Be established in the Brussels-Capital Region;
  • Be active in the technology (tech) sector;
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to expand internationally;
  • Show a specific interest in expanding into the French market;
  • Follow the program planned by hub.brussels on June 17-18;
  • Cover their own travel and accommodation expenses;
  • Register for at least one of the start-up challenges to showcase their innovative solutions.
