Innovative entrepreneur, your goal is to have a positive impact on the well-being of all through your solutions, social inclusion or climate action? Don’t miss our impact mission to New York in May. A great opportunity to gain market insights and business opportunities.
About us
Mass consumption and the constant pressure to increase profits are driving companies to use cheap, harmful production methods, or to offer services with little or no regard for our planet.
Increasingly, companies and consumers are bucking this trend and looking for solutions to “do more with less”. These trailblazers are convinced that it’s impossible to continue using so many resources, creating so much waste and causing so much damage to our planet.
We are looking for innovative companies (start-ups, scale-ups, etc.) that are developing solutions and/or business models to meet the challenges facing our society, sometimes by disrupting traditions. Those who seek to create a positive impact on the well-being and prosperity of all citizens and communities. Those who place their raison d’être at the heart of their business, whether through action for the climate, general well-being, social inclusion or preventive healthcare.
Those who “dare” the USA
The United States, with its culture of innovation, risk-taking and openness to new and disruptive ideas, is a dream destination for innovative entrepreneurs, as well as the world’s largest market.
New York and Brussels have a strong ambition to be forerunners in this field and to create better cities for people in the process. Start-ups in Brussels and New York offer innovative solutions through technology, products and services in a range of important verticals.
New York City has become the epicenter of Cleantech in the United States, thanks to a strong government-backed infrastructure in the form of climate hubs. Over 100 climate-related start-ups have been founded here in the last four years. Equally impressive, up to $3.5 billion in venture capital funding has flowed into the city’s climate-related technology sector since 2021.
Through panel discussions, visits, the exchange of best practices and more, our innovative companies will be able to put themselves forward and exchange ideas with their American counterparts and experts.
We’ll be looking at how the economy is changing, focusing on the following areas:
- Energy optimization, materials recycling and reuse, circular economy, resource efficiency, sustainable materials
- Intelligent transport and logistics, last-mile delivery, congestion management, noise reduction, shared mobility, mobility as a service, decarbonization of road infrastructure…
- Reversible design, regenerative architecture, retrofitting, passive houses, green buildings, negative carbon impact…
- Preventive healthcare technology, inclusive healthcare solutions, e-health
