Program

Morning (9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.): The Export Journey

The objective of the morning session is to train companies on the “export journey”, highlighting all the key steps a company must follow to export effectively and sustainably. The Focus Day will offer a practical and structured approach, ranging from strategic preparation to contracting and the operational management of international trade.

The topics covered will include:

  • Structuring a coherent and progressive export strategy

  • Assessing export maturity using the self-diagnosis tools developed by hub.brussels

  • Market research and international contractual aspects, logistics and supply chain

  • Eco-responsible approaches

Afternoon (2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.): Special Focus on Africa

Africa is currently one of the most dynamic economic regions in the world.
Its demographic growth, the rise of the middle class, digitalisation, the energy transition and financial innovation (mobile money) are creating a business-friendly environment.

For Brussels-based companies, Africa represents:

  • A rapidly expanding market

  • Significant needs in infrastructure, energy, healthcare, digital technology and mobility

  • Growing demand for European products and services

However, success requires an understanding of local realities: regulatory frameworks, financing, business practices, country risks, logistics, partnership needs and the key role of diasporas.

This Special Africa afternoon aims to raise awareness, provide structure and equip Brussels-based companies to approach these markets in a sustainable and secure way, while minimising risks.

The afternoon will conclude with a networking drink.
