As part of the economic mission supported by Princess Astrid of Belgium, under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hub.brussels is coordinating the participation of different Brussels companies. This multi-sector mission gives companies the chance to meet key players in the Californian market, with company visits, seminars and B2B meetings, totalling several hundred business meetings.
Belgian companies will have the opportunity to establish lasting partnerships and expand their network in one of the world’s most dynamic economic ecosystems. As the world’s fifth-largest economy, with a GDP of almost USD 3,900 billion, California is a strategic market for Brussels-based companies seeking innovation, growth and lasting partnerships. As a global epicentre for cutting-edge technologies, life sciences, the green transition and cultural industries, it provides a unique ecosystem for exploring new business opportunities.
The programme is under construction and will be fine-tuned according to the profiles and activity sectors of the participating companies, to ensure maximum relevance and opportunities on the ground.

In view of the current economic climate, the organisers of the trade mission are at your disposal for a preliminary meeting by videoconference. This will enable us to assess together whether your company is ready to take part in this event and seize the opportunities provided.

Important note concerning subsidies for prospecting abroad:
Under normal circumstances, your company can benefit from regional subsidies as part of its international business development efforts, provided it meets the general conditions and the project enjoys sufficient economic spin-offs.
However, due to the lack of a government in the Brussels-Capital Region, the processing and granting of this aid is currently suspended until further notice. At this stage, we do not know whether these subsidies will be reactivated before the start of the economic mission in October.
We recommend you follow the updates on the site official Brussels Economy and Employment website and do not include regional financial support in your budget until the situation has been sorted out.
